I have been listening to Autechre for years and thought it resembled it quite well!
They definitely produced tracks like this. Don't change a thing. Maybe your next experiment can have that ambient affect that Autechre often throws into tracks similar to your experiment.
I also feel in day where it's now so easy to make any style you wish. Taking unconventional or new methods to your normal work flow is a great way to explore music!
